Understanding how well you sleep on any given night depends on your time in the three stages of sleep (Light,Deep and REM) Light Sleep occurs soon after you fall asleep, this is where your bodies heart rate will start to reduce. Your body falls into deep sleep after 10 to 15 minutes of light sleep, and this is when the body repairs itself from the day before. You'll spend most of your night in light and deep sleep, as REM sleep periods tend to be shorter. A Sleep monitor will enable you to see how much time your body spends in each level of sleep enabling you to fully asses the quality of your sleep and monitor the actions you take to improve it.
